The ATMEGA1284P-XPLD is an evaluation board for megaAVR. It features an ATmega1284P and additional components demonstrating the features of the device. The AVR Explained kits are great platforms for early evaluation of the capabilities offered by the AVR microcontrollers. The MEGA-1284P Explained contain one QTouch button sensor, three mechanical buttons, four LED’s, 3 analogue sensors, a UART to USB bridge. The AVR Explained expansion headers provide easy access to analogue and digital I/O pins. The board is powered by the USB cable and equipped with the standard 10pin JTAG header that connects to the full range of AVR debuggers. The MEGA-1284P Explained can be used to evaluate the ATmega164/324/644/1284 microcontrollers and the A, P and PA versions of these devices. These devices share the same peripherals, and differ only in memory size electrical characteristics such as power consumption.
